The Michigan Poet

The Literature in Person Reading Series, in collaboration with The Michigan Poet, Artworks and Great Lakes Book and Supply present a series of events to celebrate National Poetry Month. All events are free and open to the public!

Thursday, April 12, 4:30pm:
Jamie Thomas and Glenn Shaheen will be at Great Lakes Book and Supply for a book talk and signing.

Thursday, April 12, 7:30pm:
Jamie Thomas and Glenn Shaheen will read their own work at The Old Jail in Big Rapids.

Saturday, April 14, 2pm:
Jon Taylor will help youth and their parents to write a poem of their own at Artworks of Big Rapids.

Saturday, April 28, 3pm:
Artworks will host an Open Mic Raffle. Reading a poem, whether personally authored or the work of another, will earn one raffle ticket (limit one ticket per reader). Prizes will include $25, a signed copy of The Michigan Poet and more!
